Session ShortCuts 1.0.1 Released
Session ShortCuts 1.0.1 (SSC) is now available for download. If anyone wonders what happened with 1.0.0, I thought I had announced that, but apparently I didn’t. Oh well.. This release should be of particular interest for those running Vista.
1.0.1 - 2008-06-11
- Fixed: Vista bugfix: Menu items would be missing for other than the first application in the list. Should now be fixed.
- Changed: Internet Explorer: Apparently this works for more than 6.x, so the “6.x” suffix text was removed.
1.0.0 - 2008-03-27
- Added: Support for WinSCP4.1 session folder structure
- Fixed: FlashFXP: Now correctly restores regular minimized (not to tray) windows
- Fixed: FlashFXP: Understands how to figure out where data is stored in v3.4 and v3.6
- Fixed: FlashFXP: Recognizes v3.6 windows correctly
- Virtually the same as RC2, which proved stable (no complaints so far)
Update DOH! If you already downloaded 1.0.1 prior to 2008/06/19 16:30 CET, please get it again. I included a build of the debuglogger.dll file that writes a whole lot of debug text to disk. Sorry!

well, you may know, but I would like to report that the download link at /ssc is commented out somewhy. Hereby I’d like to thank you for this great piece of software, it makes launching putty sessions way much faster than before by hand.
If I can have a question: how can I define commands to be executed with the “Console (cmd.exe)” plugin? Is there a place where i have to place .cmd/bat files? Looking into the .dll doesn’t make any sense to me.
Thanks in advance, Endre

Err… Not sure why the download link was messed up. I fixed FileZilla V3 support, but I didn’t get around to packaging the 1.0.2 installer yet, but must have happened by accident when I was editing the page..
The “Console” module right now only support launching new command shells, without specifying any application to start etc.
I am doing a more generic plugin which lets you point SSC to a directory of shortcuts, batch files etc, that will sort of act as a micro “Start menu > Programs” thing. I guess that might be more what you’re after…

That generic plugin would be awesome as i have quite some of stuff that ssc doesn’t and very likely will not support. Also (if I can have a feature request here), it would be if we could specify an item hotkey with a prefix, i mean, in putty session names, a desired hotkey would be a ‘&’ character as in some languages is afaik. So a particular putty session would be named as “load&balancer” if i wanted to have ‘b’ as the hotkey character underscored there. All in all, it would be a fourth option to handle hotkeys in a more manual manner.
Thanks again and wish you the best,
Endre
